What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Operator position at AmeriTex Pipe & Products?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:
- Follows Safety Guideline and procedures set for this role.
- Does not operate any equipment, machinery, or tool if he/she has not been trained to operate.
- Communicates and escalates equipment failure or malfunction to the immediate s the maintenance team immediately.
- Inspects the industrial vehicle before using it and reports misfunctions immediately to the immediate supervisor or the maintenance team.
- Operates industrial vehicles and equipment following the manufacturing and safety guidelines set by the business.
- Transports raw materials, parts, and finished goods to designated area.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures.
- Moves product and/or materials manually as required.
- Loads and unloads designated trailers and/or route trucks.
- Maintains all finished goods organized and accessible when working on the yard.
- Follows LOTO and OSHA requirements outlined by the EHS department and based on the Standard Operating Procedures for this equipment.
- Performs other duties assigned by the Department Lead, Supervisor, Manager, or a member of the Management Team.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- At least 12 months of certification as an Industrial Vehicle Driver.
