What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at AMERITEX PIPE & PRODUCTS LLC?
This role provides general accounting support to the business working concurrently with the Sr. Finance and Accounting teams in all areas of accounting including fixed assets management, internal and external audits and preparation of month-end closing and issuing financial statements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:
- Prepares monthly balance sheet and expense account reconciliations and account analysis
- Assists with month, quarter, and year-end close
- Assists with bank account reconciliations
- Reviews current Accounting Policies & Procedures
- Assists in improving and establishing best practices
- Assists in fixed assets management
- Assists in internal and external audits
- Identifies additional internal policies and processes to improve and maintain financial statements in line with generally accepted accounting principles
- Assists Accounting Manager with fixed asset management
- Assists with the implementation of software conversions
- Provides variance and profitability analysis as directed by management
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Five or more years of experience as a General Ledger Accountant
- Experience in fixed assets and ASC 842 Lease Accounting Standards
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Hybrid with three (3) days onsite per week.
Salary : $75,000
