What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concrete Batch Plant Operator position at AMERITEX PIPE & PRODUCTS LLC?
This role is responsible for starting up and shutting down the batch plant system. Operationally setting and mixing the concrete batches for the facility to ensuring accuracy in the amount and quantities of ingredients for the recipe. Responsible to ensure batch reaches each production line in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:
- Follows Safety Guideline and procedures set for this role.
- Does not operate any equipment, machinery, or tools if he/she has not been trained to operate.
- Follows the production/batch plan according to the daily plan,
- Communicates and escalates equipment failure or malfunction to the maintenance team immediately.
- Ensures the pre-and post-production checklist has been completed for mixers, flying buckets, conveyor belts are completed.
- Remains in direct communication with all departments regarding the quality of the batch and make corrections as needed according the outside factors.
- Follows LOTO processes to ensure full control of the energy sources running the equipment.
- Ensures the batch plant is clean, oiled, and ready for the next production shift.
- Maintains the working area clean and always organized.
- Performs other duties assigned by the Department Lead, Supervisor, Manager or a member of the Management Team.
EXPERIENCE
- Experience as a machine operator with PLC capabilities
EDUCATION
- High school diploma or GED desirable but not required.
Monday-Friday 5:00am-5:30pm
