Ameritex Machine and Fabrication is a high mix low volume sheet metal and structural fabrication facility that uses a variety of equipment such as CNC Fiber Lasers, CNC punch presses, CNC press brakes, and tube lasers to support over 19 production and assembly lines. The company serves customers in energy, oil and gas, automotive, electric vehicle, and aerospace. We operate out of a state of the art 100,000 sqft facility in Conroe, Texas.
The Janitor is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of all interior areas of the Ameritex Machine & Fab manufacturing facility, including production areas, offices, restrooms, and break rooms. This position ensures a safe, clean, and professional work environment that supports efficient operations and meets company standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of all interior shop spaces, including machine shop, welding and fabrication areas, offices, conference rooms, hallways, and employee common areas.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and break rooms daily, including restocking necessary supplies.
- Empty trash bins and remove waste materials throughout the facility on a scheduled basis.
- Sweep, mop, and scrub shop floors, ensuring safe and slip-free surfaces.
- Clean glass, windows, doors, and interior surfaces as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of entryways and employee entrances.
- Perform minor upkeep duties such as replacing light bulbs and reporting maintenance issues.
- Monitor and maintain janitorial supply inventory; communicate replenishment needs to supervisor.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE as required for cleaning activities.
- Support special projects such as post-construction clean-up, shop reorganizations, or event preparation/clean-up.
- Work cooperatively with shop employees and supervisors to ensure minimal disruption to production activities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in janitorial or industrial cleaning preferred, but not required.
- Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment (e.g., floor scrubber, mop, vacuum).
- Knowledge of safe use of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks (lifting, bending, walking, standing for long periods).
- Must be reliable, punctual, and maintain a professional attitude.
Work Schedule
Though this professional needs to complete his/her work during the standard routine hours, he/she might need to be flexible at times and extend beyond the normal hours to do the work which needs to be completed on a priority basis.
Salary : $14 - $16
