Role Description
AmeriTest is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner for an on-site position in Gretna, LA.
This role focuses primarily on DOT and non-DOT physicals, Coast Guard physicals, occupational exams, and compliance-related services. The NP will ensure examinations meet federal and state regulatory standards while maintaining high documentation accuracy and clinical quality.
This is a structured, compliance-focused clinic — not a high-volume urgent care setting.
Qualifications
Perform DOT, non-DOT, and Coast Guard physicals
• Conduct occupational health examinations
• Ensure compliance with FMCSA and regulatory standards
• Maintain accurate, audit-ready documentation
• Collaborate with clinic leadership on compliance initiatives
• Active NP license in Louisiana
• Current DOT Medical Examiner certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience with DOT and occupational physicals preferred
• Strong documentation and regulatory knowledge
• Detail-oriented and professionally driven
• Collaborating MD required
