Full Job Description
AmeriTek Environmental Services is hiring an LDAR Inventory Technician to support ongoing component inventory and compliance projects. This position focuses on identifying, tagging, and validating components within refinery and chemical plant LDAR programs. Work is performed outdoors at industrial sites, often involving travel to other AmeriTek project locations.
Essential Functions
- Identify and tag valves, pumps, compressors, flanges, and other process equipment
- Walk down process areas using color-coded P&IDs
- Affix physical LDAR tags and document all component details accurately
- Retag existing components while maintaining historical data integrity
- Upload and verify field data in Chateau or other LDAR software
- Perform QA/QC checks to maintain data accuracy and consistency
- Identify and report open-ended lines, leaks, or visual/audible emissions
- Follow all safety policies, PPE requirements, and site procedures
- Complete all required safety and site-specific training
- Maintain company property, including vehicles and equipment
- Support other AmeriTek projects as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- LDAR or Method 21 field experience preferred
- Knowledge of EPA Method 21 inspection techniques and TVA calibration
- Understanding of refinery and chemical process equipment
- Able to read and interpret P&IDs and line lists
- Basic computer and data-entry skills (Chateau, LeakDAS a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
- Must pass background check, drug screen, and obtain a TWIC card
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Work performed outdoors in refineries and chemical facilities
- Exposure to hot, cold, and inclement weather
- Frequent walking, climbing stairs and ladders (up to 300 ft)
- Carry equipment weighing 15–25 kg (data logger, tools, etc.)
- Required PPE includes: hard hat, FR clothing, safety glasses, boots, hearing protection, and fall protection when needed
Schedule and Compensation
- 4-day work week (Monday – Thursday)
- 10-hour shifts
- Competitive pay based on experience
- Paid travel and per diem when working away from home
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
