What You’ll Do:
- Assist senior machinists with setup and operation of manual mills and lathes
- Perform basic machining tasks like drilling, turning, and milling
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings
- Use measuring tools (micrometers, calipers) to inspect parts for accuracy
- Follow all shop safety standards and cleanliness protocols
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of machining coursework or technical certification (preferred, not required)
- Basic understanding of machining equipment and shop safety
- MUST BE ABLE TO read and use measuring tools like calipers and micrometers
- Mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and eagerness to learn
- Hands-on experience with CNC or manual machines
- Trade school, vocational, or on-the-job training in machining
- Familiarity with blueprint reading or shop math
