Our client, a Global Fortune 50 organization and one of world’s largest distributors of Healthcare systems, Medical supplies & Pharmaceutical products, seeks an accomplished Registered Nurse – Specialty Drug Counseling (Hybrid)
Job Title: Registered Nurse – Specialty Drug Counseling (Hybrid)
Location: Cary, NC 27513
Duration: 3-Month Contract with possible extension or conversion to Full-Time
Pay Rate: $39/hr – $41/hr (depending on experience)
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
- One Saturday per quarter (9:00 AM–6:00 PM)
- Overtime available on Saturdays
Must-Have Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or multi-state compact
- Minimum 5 years of nursing experience
- At least 1 year of acute care/inpatient hospital experience
Job Description:
The Registered Nurse will provide patient education and support for specialty drug therapies, ensuring compliance with clinical and regulatory standards. This role involves counseling patients, documenting care, verifying specialty medications, and reporting adverse events while maintaining high-quality and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Counsel and educate new and existing patients on specialty drug therapies
- Ensure compliance with all contracted and accrediting regulations
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation per good documentation practices
- Discuss potential and current side effects with patients to support adherence
- Identify and report adverse events (AEs) and product complaints (PCs)
- Verify specialty drug information as part of patient care processes
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or higher degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Active RN license in North Carolina or multi-state compact license
- Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, including acute care/inpatient setting
- Strong computer proficiency (Word, Excel, email, web-based applications)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong typing skills
Additional Qualifications:
- Ability to work hybrid schedule with onsite training for first 3 weeks
- Strong attention to detail and regulatory compliance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Telehealth experience
- Familiarity with motivational interviewing techniques
