Pharmacy Technician

OVERVIEW:

Our client, a Global Fortune 50 organization and one of world’s largest distributors of Health care systems, medical supplies & Pharmaceutical products, seeks an accomplished Pharmacy Technician.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• This will be an onsite role.
• Candidate must hold a Texas State Board of Pharmacy License.
• Duration: 3 months assignment with possible extension
• Work location: 8277 BELLEVIEW DRIVE, Plano, TX 75024
• Work schedule: Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5pm and Friday 8:30am-4pm || 40 hours per week
• Candidate will have 1 week of training for all areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accurately fills prescriptions, packs orders, and operates PARTA machines; restocks freezers with gel packs and rotates inventory.
• Prepares and ships medications while ensuring drug integrity, sterility, and stability.
• Follows detailed checklists with precision and maintains clean, organized workspaces.
• Communicates patient updates through package inserts for holiday or unscheduled closures.
• Verifies daily shipping manifests, addresses, and delivery schedules.
• Collaborates with pharmacy staff to resolve order issues and update shipping details.
• Reconciles packing slips and carrier invoices, submitting reports to management.
• Tracks and reports weekly shipping supply usage and abstracts.
• Maintains and resets the shipping area daily, handles waste disposal, and oversees facility security at closing.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

• HS diploma required
• Candidate must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must have 2-3 years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Fundamental knowledge of computers including MS Word and Excel
• Ability to work as a team and collaborate accordingly
• Willing to work morning and/or afternoon shift required
• Flexible multi-task-oriented worker
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to work on your feet for 95% of the day
