Overview:


Our client, a Medical Center facility under the aegis of a California Public Ivy university and one of largest health delivery systems in California, seeks accomplished Patient Services Representative.

*** Duration: 26 weeks, but could be extended


Notes:

  • 100% onsite role.
  • Work Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8:00AM – 5:00PM.


Description:

  • Back office and call center.
  • Answer incoming calls from patients and provide information, assistance, and support.
  • Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with healthcare providers and clinical staff.
  • Verify patient demographic and insurance information.
  • Document patient interactions, inquiries, and appointment details accurately.
  • Follow established call center protocols, including HIPAA compliance, to protect patient confidentiality.
  • Handle patient complaints and concerns professionally and empathetically.
  • Provide basic medical information and directions to patients as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to resolve patient issues.
  • Estimated number of patients in clinic per day or calls per day if call center: About 55-60 calls per day.


Qualifications:

  • 6 months to 1 year of experience required.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Prefer Apex trained/experienced candidates.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented attitude.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt.
