About the Role >> The Deburring Operator will operate assigned equipment for work orders in a safe and productive manner. We require someone who takes pride in their work, has excellent attention to detail, and can work efficiently alone or in a team. If you’re a team player with an enthusiastic and positive attitude, we’d like to meet you!
Responsibilities >>
- Operates, inserts, and removes metal materials in a variety of manufacturing equipment including tumblers, belt sanders, and deburring equipment.
- Work with laser operators to move materials, brake parts out of laser skeletons, and deburr edges.
- Ensures product produced meets or exceeds customer specs.
- Reviews work orders and follows process specifications to avoid costly errors while meeting or exceeding production efficiency.
- Accurately count parts and pass on to next operation and follow all safety steps and procedures to ensure safe equipment operations.
- Stop process if non-conformance exists, notify Plant Manager.
- Provides continuous updates to Plant Manager as required.
Qualifications/Skills >>
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Some knowledge of the operation of manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to learn how to operate tumbling and deburring equipment, including learning set-up, tooling, fixtures, tolerances, and the use of measuring gauges.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Ability to understand and follow job routing instructions including knowledge of safety rules and appropriate conduct and courtesy towards other employees.
