Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverage items per guest requests according to established service standards and to satisfy the guest.
• Assures all tables are clean and properly set.
• Set up serving stations according to checklist.
• Answer questions regarding food preparation and make menu suggestions.
• Observe diners to respond to any additional requests.
• Ability, when necessary, to use P.O.S. System.
• Ability to handle service trays, glass racks, and china trolleys as needed.
• Ability to handle and maintain soda/liquid beverage dispensers.
• Adhere to established department and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.
• Adheres to proper cleanliness and sanitation standards as set forth by ServSafe.
• Initiates a positive guest experience when working any front line station or in public contact by providing a welcome and/or greeting, making eye contact, describing food offerings, smiling, and bidding a warm farewell and good luck, etc.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
