Responsibilities

• Must be able to work varied shifts and varied days off, including weekends and holiday periods.
• Conduct monthly bar inventory.
• Train new bartenders.
• Create cocktail menus seasonally.
• Order beer and liquor needed for the bar menus.
• Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to patrons.
• Learn and follow all beverage recipes and adhere to the established pour policy.
• Operate within full compliance of liquor laws and regulations.
• Adhere to and enforce all control systems.
• Create prices of all cocktails, sprits, and mixers.
• Collect payment and promptly settle all cash and charge transactions.
• Requisition liquor and other supplies, when needed with supervisor's approval.
• Keep bar area clean and organized at all times and prepared for on-coming shift.
  Inform supervisor of guests who appear to be intoxicated.
• Ask for identification of all suspected under-age patrons.
• Responsible for knowing the types, glasses and brand names of the products we offer. Should be familiar with a substitute item to offer a guest in the event an item is ordered that we don’t carry.
• Must have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all drink recipes and the preparation and garnishment of all drinks.
• Responsible for understanding the operation of all soda, juice and liquor guns.
• Responsible for the handling of Company funds through cash transactions on the Micros System.
• Follow all cash handling procedures as listed in the Food & Beverage Manual.
• Always conduct yourself in a manner that reflects a positive, professional image for Ameristar Casino Black Hawk.
• Practice and observe safety rules and regulations and encourage others to do so.
• Handle the chemicals for the glass washing machine in a safe manner.
• Responsible and accountable for all cash variances /- $10.00.
• Responsible for the cleanliness of your work station/bar.
• Must serve cocktail servers; serve them only at their stations.
• Keep bar completely stocked for next shift.
• Responsible for informing beverage manager on duty of any problems.
• Have and keep updated all current work cards: TIPS Training.

Requirements

• Fully understand how to operate the Micros System
• Adhere to established policies and procedures regarding customer service standards.
• Must have cash handling experience.
• Must be able to handle a flexible schedule.

• Must have a friendly, outgoing personality.
• Must be able to stand/walk 100% of your shift.
• Must be 21 years of age or older to work on the casino floor.
• Two (2) years experience as a bartender, lead bartender, or bar manager in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to lift fifty (50) pounds.
• Able to communicate sufficiently with co-workers and supervisors.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Colorado Support Gaming License.

Salary : $10
