AMERISAFE is seeking a detail-oriented, productivity driven professional to add to our “Excellence Team” based in DeRidder, LA. The Regulatory Intern will have the opportunity to job shadow and work side-by-side with the Regulatory Department gaining on-the-job, hands-on experience. The Regulatory Intern will assist and support all roles in the Regulatory Department for the duration of the paid Internship. This role will report directly to the Regulatory Manager.
Upon an offer and acceptance of employment with AMERISAFE, you will be required to complete our pre-employment screening, which includes a criminal background check, a 10-panel drug test and, if applicable, a review of your motor vehicle report. A 10-panel drug test includes amphetamine/methamphetamine, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cocaine metabolite (BZE), marijuana metabolite (THCA), methadone, methaqualone, codeine/morphine, phencyclidine, propoxyphene.
Qualifications:
- High school senior or college student preferred
- Ability to grasp new processes and software
- Ability to maintain organize plan and prioritize tasks with guidance
- Ability and capability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the company
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to carry out assignments to completion with minimal guidance
- Work well as part of a team

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Error & Omission compliance of contracted agents/agencies. Update CRM agent errors and omissions fields, and handle related matters
- Review and distribute incoming circulars and bulletins with assistance from the Legal Department
- Administer regulatory bureau access for employees across departments
- Provide general clerical support services to enhance the operation of the Regulatory Department
- Enter banking information for agent set up for direct deposit.
- Process termination letters for agency and producer appointments
