Job Summary
Responsible for the operational execution of the Equipment Finance Loan Operations Department. Oversee the functions, responsibilities, workload, and training for the individuals within the department that perform the functions related to Auditing, Booking, Billing, Titling, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Sales Tax/Property Tax, and administration of the Costa Mesa office. Advise and implement strategies with a focus on internal and external customer experience, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement consistent with the Ameris Vision, Purpose, Expectations, and Values.

Job Summary

Essential Functions, Duties And Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, coach, lead, schedule, motivate and evaluate the work of a team. Oversee on-boarding activities and ensure employees are equipped to successfully accomplish objectives.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to achieve company, division, and department goals.
- Ensure that procedures and workflow are documented.
- Monitor adherence of organizational and department procedures.
- Perform administrative tasks related to managing staff.
- Distribute workload for the various teams to ensure efficiency.
- Backup multiple areas within the department if necessary (Ex: titling, auditing, billing).
- Obtain knowledge of all functions and processes within department.
- Complete ad hoc projects assigned by Management.
- Able to formulate, visualize and execute departmental strategy.
- Demonstrate leadership skillset with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships, coach, mentor and retain a high performing team.
- Ability to plan, develop and organize schedules and workloads to achieve strategic goals within or ahead of established time frames.
- Able to be flexible and supportive, reacting swiftly to changes and adjusting priorities. Able to positively and proactively lead change management initiatives.
- Advanced ability to research, analyze, identify viable options, draw sound conclusions, present findings and make thoughtful recommendations considering overall risk, short-term and long-term impact.
- Ability to provide a high level of interactive service to others, building relationships and addressing identified needs.
- Able to negotiate, drive consensus, manage and resolve conflict.
- Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Thorough knowledge of banking compliance policies and procedures.
- Able to analyze and record detailed information and produce accurate, high quality work products.
- Able to read, analyze and interpret complex contract documents.
- 8 or more years of Loan Operations experience or equivalent.
- Supervisory or leadership experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
