We’re looking for a hands-on Quality Assurance Supervisor who can turn standards into action. In this role, you’ll lead and coordinate QA Technicians, provide technical guidance to production teams, and help ensure every product meets USDA, customer, food safety, and company requirements. If you’re a confident people leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, this is your opportunity to influence quality from the production floor to the final product.
What You’ll Do
· Lead the team: Direct daily work, build schedules, review reports and data, and ensure QA Technicians have the support they need to succeed.
· Coach for performance: Train, assign, monitor, coach, and counsel team members while setting clear expectations.
· Partner across operations: Collaborate with production supervisors, directors, and internal departments to address quality concerns and make timely, high-level decisions.
· Protect quality and food safety: Maintain QA policies and procedures and support compliance with USDA, company, customer, SQF, GMP, and HACCP requirements.
· Keep improvement moving: Communicate daily quality issues, support testing and new product development, and identify continuous-improvement opportunities using the PDCA lifecycle.
· Build a capable workforce: Ensure team members are properly trained on manufacturing responsibilities and safety expectations.
What You Bring
· High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in food science, engineering, or a related field preferred.
· At least two years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, preferably in Quality Assurance or Quality Systems.
· Direct experience with FDA and USDA regulations, plant production processes and systems, SQF, GMP, and HACCP.
· The ability to clearly communicate and champion the company’s quality strategy.
· Strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to review reports and data.
· A positive, team-focused mindset with strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Your Work Environment
This role combines leadership, office work, and time on the production floor. Team members regularly sit, stand, walk, communicate in person and by telephone, use standard office equipment, reach with their hands and arms, and lift up to 25 pounds. The position works in seasonal warehouse and food-processing plant temperatures. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
