AmeriPro EMS is seeking a Paramedic that delivers highquality, compassionate patient care in both emergency and non-emergency settings. This role ensures safe patient transport, accurate documentation, and consistent operational readiness while representing AmeriPro EMS with professionalism and integrity. Paramedics work collaboratively with EMT partners, dispatch, hospitals, and other public safety agencies to support exceptional patient outcomes and uphold AmeriPro’s commitment to service excellence.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, efficient interfacility patient transport using advanced medical equipment and techniques.
- Monitor and assess patient condition continuously during transport, adjusting care as needed.
- Administer medications and injections following established protocols while ensuring aseptic techniques.
- Manage airway patency through airway management procedures and ventilatory support.
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and vital sign assessments to inform ongoing treatment decisions.
- Collaborate with hospital staff and emergency teams to ensure seamless patient handoff and communication.
- Maintain detailed documentation of patient care activities in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Operate emergency vehicles responsibly, adhering to all driving laws and safety protocols, including heavy lifting when necessary.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification
- Georgia Paramedic license in good standing
- Current National Registry certification if required by state
- Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong people skills and proven ability to collaborate within a team.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to comprehend and execute verbal and written instructions in English.
- Successful completion of a written and practical exam
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the EMS field preferred.
- Previous experience working as a Paramedic or in a similar medical role.
- Additional certification or advanced training in emergency services: Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS); Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) and/or Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) training.
- Technology proficiency
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
- Frequently is required to stand and walk
- Occasionally required to sit, climb, stand, or balance
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 180 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 300 pounds with assistance from others
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Working Environment
Due to the nature of EMS Care working conditions, employees may be exposed to inclement weather, potentially hazardous conditions, psychological stressors, diseases, and other illnesses. Frequent interruptions, work pressure, difficult personalities, and irregularities in work schedule are expected. Employees are subject to continually changing deadlines while performing the duties of this job. The employee will be occasionally required to attend meetings, some of which may take place outside of regular working hours.
