AmeriPro Health is seeking an Operations Supervisor that will oversee daily EMS field operations in the absence of senior management. This role ensures adequate coverage, compliance with protocols, and operational efficiency while serving as a liaison between field staff and other departments. The position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to respond to critical incidents when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day EMS field operations and staff performance.
- Ensure crews have required equipment and adequate supplies for assigned duties.
- Act as liaison between field staff and internal departments (Training, HR, Billing, etc.).
- Maintain accurate schedules, training records, and state-required documentation.
- Monitor system deployment and operational efficiency for cost-effective performance.
- Respond to high-acuity calls and coordinate ambulance transport during major incidents.
- Assist in employee evaluations, attendance tracking, and certification compliance.
- Uphold adherence to company policies, procedures, and patient care protocols.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification
- State-specific Paramedic certification/licensure in good standing (or current NREMT certification, if required by state law)
- Current CPR certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Valid state-issued driver’s license
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including proper spelling and grammar
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- FEMA IS certifications: IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800
- Ability to use computer systems such as PCR reporting, email, and MDT applications
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions related to patient care and AmeriPro EMS operations
Certification/Licensure Requirements
- Georgia Paramedic certification in good standing
- Valid state-issued driver’s license
- Current CPR certifications: BLS and ACLS; additional certifications preferred (PALS, PHTLS, BTLS, bPPC)
- Current National Registry certification (if required by state)
- FEMA IS certifications: IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800
- Minimum of 2 years of EMS experience preferred
Physical Requirements
- Regularly uses hands to handle or feel objects, reach with arms, and communicate (talk/hear)
- Frequently required to stand and walk
- Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance
- Frequently lifts and/or moves up to 180 pounds; occasionally up to 300 pounds with assistance
- Requires specific vision abilities including close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
Working Environment
Due to the nature of EMS Care working conditions, employees may be exposed to inclement weather, potentially hazardous conditions, psychological stressors, diseases, and other illnesses. Frequent interruptions, work pressure, difficult personalities, and irregularities in work schedule are expected. Employees are subject to continually changing deadlines while performing the duties of this job. The employee will be occasionally required to attend meetings, some of which may take place outside of regular working hours.
