Step into an instrumental role. Help conduct the smooth operation of a fast-paced and friendly financial planning office. Work as an employee of an independent advisor franchisee with a financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial. Assist in daily business operations. This position completes tasks previously performed by the advisor and staff. The Client Service Specialist supports the many different tasks for which the practice is responsible and ties directly to the overall business plan of the practice. The Client Service Specialist allows the advisors the assurance they need to know that their practice is being maintained and supported within Ameriprise Financial guidelines. This role provides administrative support by scheduling meetings, preparing presentations, preparing client communications and tracking new business correspondence. This role is responsible for responding to ad hoc requests, coordinating/tracking projects and/or managing business-as-usual projects such as filing, copying, scanning, and/or organizing the logistics of a client events. Responsibilities and Time Allocation – Will change over time to meet the needs of the practice and can include other duties as assigned by the advisor. Position Functions: 80% Administrative Assistance Answer phone calls for the practice and divert them as needed Schedule and reschedule client appointments Process incoming mail on the practice’s designated days Prepare agendas and forms for appointments Copy and track all client and practice materials including business correspondence Follow-up with corporate’s home office on related issues Conduct client appointment reminder calls and check-in calls on follow up items Prepare correspondence for advisor signature Maintain a digital filing system Maintain multiple email inboxes Assist the planning assistants, paraplanners, client service managers, and advisors Perform other allowable duties as assigned by the financial advisors and staff 20% Client Care Greet clients upon arrival and extend hospitality to clients Set up and maintain client management system Write notes or letters to clients on personal letterhead of administrative nature only and administer client appreciation Document client communication Track client anniversaries and make appropriate contact per established client contact model service model Assist with planning marketing events for clients and attend the planned events after hours to facilitate admission into venues Key traits of a successful Client Service Specialist: Strong organizational and computer skills Self-starter Direct attention to detail and organization Effective communication with clients, advisors, and staff Effective and efficient time management Polite and clear phone manner Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications Ability to multi-task Ability to adhere to rules and regulations as stated and required by advisor and Ameriprise Ability to support and provide guidance for compliance within the advisor’s practice Positive attitude and sincere willingness to constantly learn and grow Education: High school degree or higher Job Type: Full-time (M-F 9:00 am to 5:00 pm) Pay: Base salary range of $45,000 to $55,000 per year with potential for quarterly performance-based incentives Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance Disability insurance Paid time off Retirement plan matching Work Location: On-site in Atlanta, GA 30308 At Ameriprise Financial, we’re not just in the business of helping clients with their financial goals – we also help our advisors and employees reach their true potential by embracing an inclusive and collaborative culture.
