Ameriprise is seeking a highly skilled Operations Specialist for our Cost Basis team.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine reporting and analysis contributing to recommendations for cost basis and tax, along with assisting in small to medium projects within cost basis.
Provide analysis within existing reporting models, while recommending minor adjustments.
Make recommendations based on reporting and analysis that best meet client, regulatory or business objectives.
Develop solutions for routine and less complex problems for cost basis and tax reporting.
Trouble shoot, resolve problems or issues, while contributing to define solutions in a Lean environment.
Assist in the training of current and new team members.
Assist the team in processing, when needed.
Required Qualifications
Associate degree or equivalent
1-3 years of experience in Service or Operations
Excellent Documentation, Attention To Detail And Prioritization Skills Required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in MS Excel; familiarity with Access/database applications
Strong analytical, quantitative & problem solving skills and ability to use statistical analysis
Strong knowledge of business operations and processes in more than two areas.
Ability to communicate effectively on recommendations and analysis results, and establish and maintain strong relationships across the organization
Ability to initiate and implement process improvements

Base Pay Salary
The estimated base salary for this role is $53,400-$72,000/year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role. We also have a competitive and comprehensive benefits program that supports all aspects of your health and well-being, including but not limited to vacation time, sick time, 401(k), and health, dental and life insurances.
