The Company has remained focused on the underground construction of communication cable and related functions. With the primary operations centered in Kansas, the workforce has easy access to Colorado, Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and surrounding states.
At Amerine, we are expanding our management team to hire an Accounting Manager to lead the organization’s accounting team. This newly formed position reports to the President. The successful candidate will build his team around the growth of the company and play a key role in shaping Amerine’s financial strategy.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide accounting leadership to the company.
- Drive process improvement and scalability within accounting operations as the company grows.
- Lead and direct accounting operations including accounting systems, project and general ledger accounting, payroll, banking, credit card processing in a Quickbooks environment.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and improvement of accounting systems, policies, and internal controls to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules in alignment with GAAP and company policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 3 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of GAAP, including percentage of completion revenue recognition.
- Experience with general ledger and project accounting, internal controls, and financial statement preparation.
- Background in engineering, professional services, or construction industries preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software and related technologies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative, people-first approach.
