Job Summary Tactical, hands-on IT leader who has a broad understanding across technical systems, including networks, employee devices, policies, overall capability, security, availability and reliability. They normally focus on one domain or area of technology within the organization. Job Description Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. Performs problem tracking, diagnosis and root-cause analysis, replication, troubleshooting, and resolution for complex technical infrastructure issues. Responds to issues in a timely manner by receiving and investigating incidents or service tickets. Analyzes and observes trends with technical issues and develops recommendations for long-term improvements. May engage, negotiate and manage contracting with outside vendors. Applies in-depth knowledge of technical infrastructure, support, and an understanding of best practices. Provides implementation and service support of core IT Platform infrastructure with a focus on Production Stability / Uptime. Provides continuous Capacity Planning to ensure service demands can be met. Manages EOL Evergreening of old equipment to manage technical debt. Provides continuous improvements of IT service capabilities through efficiency & optimization. Maintains IT Service level monitoring through dashboards. Provides Oracle database management system support. Provides support for SOC-1 and SOC-2 compliance and carrier partner audits. Purchase equipment and supplies as provided for in the budget to complete projects. Assist with budget development. Duties may require non-routine analysis, research and follow-through. Knowledge of current trends in IT hardware and systems software field. Database management skills with the ability to produce reports. Familiarity with the support and troubleshooting of personal computers and tablet devices. Ability to interpret guidelines and analyze information to adapt or modify processes in response to changing circumstances.
