Stairlift/ Elevator Service Technician

Overview
The Equipment Service Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining, installing and repairing various types of equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong technical skills and a commitment to quality service. The technician will work closely with clients to diagnose issues, perform repairs, and provide preventative maintenance on equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to identify potential issues or malfunctions.
• Utilize diagnostic tools, including an ohmmeter, to troubleshoot and assess equipment performance.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of machinery and equipment.
• Document all service activities, including repairs made and parts used, in accordance with company protocols.
• Collaborate with team members to develop effective solutions for complex technical problems.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their equipment needs and service updates.

Skills

Elevator, stairlift, vertical lift installation and maintenance experience preferred.

• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as an ohmmeter for troubleshooting electrical components.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand complex machinery and systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in diagnosing issues accurately.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and techniques related to equipment servicing.
