Talent Acquisition Specialist
Location: 231 Hill Road, Rome, NY 13441
Starting Rate: $24.63/hour to $30.78/hour, actual pay will depend on experience.
Status: Full-Time
Remote Status: Onsite for initial training and then potential ability to work a hybrid schedule

PURPOSE:
Consistent with the credit union mission of building connections and providing our members the right financial services to live life, dream big and achieve financial success, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will:
  • Work with our Human Resources Department to deliver our vision of providing transformational experiences for future candidates and internal team members. The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist must be a dynamic, self-motivated team member with diplomacy/tact, outstanding customer service skills, and attention to detail.
  • The successful candidate must also possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to listen, build rapport and credibility as a strategic partner within AmeriCU.

What you'll do:
As a Talent Acquisition Specialist your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Locate and source talent for openings. This will require being active on social media forums, attend career fairs, make cold calls, visit local college campuses or universities and any other creative methods to locate qualified individuals.
2. Review current hiring practices to ensure that we are providing a good experience to each candidate, regardless of where they fall in the hiring spectrum.
3. Screen, evaluate and qualify candidates, including conducting in-depth candidate interviews to develop a deep understanding of candidate qualifications and competencies.
4. Work with Supervisor on identifying critical talent gaps and drive effective and efficient talent strategy in support of the business
5. Ensure accurate process of all recruitment related HR transactions including onboarding of new hires, terminations, job and personal data changes, reference checks, background checks and employee verifications. Oversee the relationships with current outside recruiting firms ensuring that they are meeting the needs of the Credit Union.
