Location: Rome, NY
Starting Salary Range - $64,593.60 to $80,742.00, actual starting rate would depend on experience.

The Position:
AmeriCU Credit Union is in search of a Consumer Lending Assistant Manager who aligns directly with our mission to provide our members with the right financial services to live life, dream big, and achieve financial success, and our vision to be the most admired organization in every community we serve. You will be responsible to:
- Responsible for the supervision of underwriting within consumer loan operations and oversight of the consumer lending staff of underwriting. This includes all lending support functions for the various lending channels, and expedient underwriting. Directly aligning lending process to our digital first strategy.
- Have hands-on leadership, management, mentoring and direction to the Department to support the strategic objectives and goals of the department, the Lending Division, and the organization. Includes participating on project team as assigned.
- Prepares performance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.
What You’ll Do:
As a Consumer Lending Assistant Manager your primary responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for assisting the Consumer Lending Manager with the development, administration, and implementation of policies, procedures, programs, and systems that support and further the strategic goals and objectives of the department and credit union.
- Provides day to day supervision and support to the consumer loan underwriting team. Developing high performing teams by creating a rewarding and engaging work environment. Ensure the Credit Union’s mission, vision and values are instilled in the team members, including our MVP 1-Team culture.
- Collaborates with the Chief Leadership and Consumer Lending Manager in developing recommendations for new products, pricing/rate changes, and marketing campaigns. Will make presentations to committees as requested. Works to achieve the credit union’s financial objectives.
- Proactively seek ways to continuously improve products, processes, service, and workflow efficiencies with a focus on delivering first-class service to members (both internal and external.) Works collaboratively with others to ensure processes are efficient and support the objectives.
- Ensure the credit union remains in compliance with all Consumer lending regulatory requirements as well as AmeriCU policies and procedures, including maintaining compliant forms and documents.
- Supports management duties to include involvement with employee recruitment, input to timely performance appraisals, counsels, trains, and develops employees.
