Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set and be capable of performing various maintenance and repair tasks. This role is essential for ensuring that our facilities are well-maintained, safe, and functional. The Handy Man will work independently and as part of a team to address repair needs promptly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs on buildings, fixtures, and equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify issues that require attention.
- Utilize tools and equipment effectively to complete tasks such as plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and painting.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and materials used.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards at all times.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete larger projects as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in maintenance or maintenance person services is preferred.
- Familiarity with the use of an Ohmmeter for electrical troubleshooting is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and management.
- A valid driver’s license may be required for travel between job sites.
