What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Associate - Food Access position at AmeriCorps?
The Food Access Summer Associate will support day to day operations in TSF’s nutritional services program Summer Associate will develop resources and systems for a dual-track model youth workforce program. The Summer Associate will provide direct support to Sanneh’s Anti-Hunger program to address poverty-related challenges and improve community health in the Twin Cities Metro Area. By assisting with food packaging, distribution, and logistics, the Associate will help close the food insecurity gap for low-income youth and families during the peak summer months

Member Duties : Assisting volunteers with questions and ensuring proper food safety requirements are followed Setting up tables, tents, and materials for food distribution. Handing out products to participants in an equitable and joyful manner. Monitoring the inventory and communicating any needs with the manager on site. Assist in tracking weights and donations of all food. Load, unload, and stock product. This position is physically demanding and requires repeated lifting of up to 50 pounds. Follow safety guidelines to minimize risk exposure to TSF. Direct service support of daily nutritional services procedures: Familiarizing oneself with weekly food distribution calendars and deliveries Cleaning and tidying hub warehouse Occasional data entry and registration
