Sea Mar - AmeriCorps has a variety of ancillary services support and clinical assistance roles within our organization at Sea Mar Community Health Centers. This intermediary program provides services from maternity support, clinical assistance, health education, behavioral health, and non-profit development. Members will be in positions as Birth Doulas, Assisted Living Specialist, Childcare Assistant, and Patient Health Navigators. Sea Mar- AmeriCorps members receive training in for service in a public-health setting. Members learn new skills and gain knowledge that enhances their effectiveness and value to patients. Members also take part in a variety of other professional trainings such as motivational interviewing, grant writing workshops, and a course on the Social Determinants of Health.
