What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle School Summer Success Specialist position at AmeriCorps?
Serving with Leading Youth Through Empowerment, this member will support organizational efforts to strengthen middle school academic enrichment programming in math and English Language Arts. Working alongside staff and educators, the member will assist in developing instructional resources, organizing program materials, supporting student engagement systems, and improving processes that promote effective and inclusive learning environments. The member will contribute to curriculum implementation support, assessment tracking systems, communication processes, and program coordination efforts that help ensure students receive consistent academic and social-emotional support throughout the school year and summer programming. They will also assist with maintaining organized records, supporting family and student communication systems, and contributing to strategies that strengthen student participation and program continuity. Through these activities, the member will help expand organizational capacity to deliver high-quality academic programming that supports middle school student growth, confidence, and readiness for future educational opportunities.

Support communication systems that provide students and families with consistent reminders, updates, and program information. Assist with coordination of in-person and virtual programming logistics to strengthen program consistency and accessibility. Contribute to projects and initiatives that strengthen organizational infrastructure, educational programming quality, and long-term program sustainability.
