What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Insecurity Specialist (Austin Peay State University) position at AmeriCorps?
In conjunction with our basic needs team, this VISTA member will develop a strong volunteer team to staff pantry volunteer responsibilities, research best practices and will help build a statewide network of campus pantry managers.

Member Duties : The position will have the selected VISTA member developing a marketing and promotions plan to recruit new volunteers to serve in the S.O.S. food pantry both in one-time and weekly/ongoing service activities.They will also work to expand awareness of S.O.S. food pantry to at-need populations on campus. Finally their will be developing high impact engagement volunteer opportunities that help students’ improve their pantry experience through the development of resource guides.
Program Benefits : Health Coverage* , Living Allowance , Choice of Education Award or End of Service Stipend , Education award upon successful completion of service , Housing , Childcare assistance if eligible , Training , Relocation Allowance .
