DC² (DC Squared) is a nonprofit community development organization working to strengthen commercial corridors and improve quality of life throughout Northeast DC. Guided by our identity, Distinct Corridors. Developing Communities, we connect residents, artists, entrepreneurs, businesses, and community partners through economic development, food access, arts and culture, placemaking, and neighborhood revitalization initiatives. The Community Development & Small Business Growth VISTA will play a key role in building the infrastructure that supports long-term economic opportunity and community impact. The VISTA will develop partnerships, volunteer systems, funding resources, communications tools, entrepreneur support materials, and community engagement strategies that strengthen DC² Markets, small business development initiatives, arts and cultural programming, public activation efforts, and future business incubation opportunities. The VISTA will help create pathways for entrepreneurs, artists, and small business owners to access resources, build skills, connect with customers, and prepare for commercial occupancy. The position will also support efforts to strengthen neighborhood-serving businesses, activate commercial corridors, expand access to arts and culture, and increase community participation in development initiatives.
