Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise construction crews, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and to project specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide construction activities.
- Manage project schedules using tools like Primavera P6 and other construction management software to meet deadlines.
- Oversee budgeting, cost estimating, and procurement processes utilizing Construction estimating software such as HeavyBid.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and enforce safety protocols across all job sites.
- Conduct quality control inspections using tools like ohmmeters and ensure adherence to project standards.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and suppliers to streamline workflows and resolve issues promptly.
- Supervise subcontractors and manage contracts to guarantee scope adherence and project delivery excellence.
- Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports, safety logs, change orders, and project schedules.
- Implement best practices in construction management to optimize productivity while maintaining high safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in carpentry or related trades.
- Supervising experience leading teams on large-scale construction projects.
- Proficiency with construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, and other relevant tools.
- Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating processes.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and the use of safety equipment like ohmmeters for electrical inspections.
- Strong understanding of contracts management, project scheduling, budgeting, and quality control procedures.
- Hands-on experience working directly on construction sites across various phases of building or infrastructure projects.
- Excellent management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
