POSITION TITLE: HOTEL LAUNDRY ATTENDANT / Housekeeper - Full Time / Part Time
REPORTS : Housekeeping Supervisor
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will cover days off for the main laundry person. Sunday's and Monday's will be required. If you would like additional hours you can work in housekeeping also.
The role of this position is to clean and issue linen to staff according to systems and the procedures established by the hotel management. Also takes inventory and control movement of soiled, damaged and fresh linen.
LINEN ATTENDANT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Places linen in containers for transport to laundry.
- Sort's items and counts and records number of items soiled.
- Examines laundered items to ensure cleanliness and serviceability.
- Knowledge and expereince using Commercial Washer/Dryer
- Knowledge and expereince using cleaning chemicals
- Folds and stores laundered linen on shelves after verifying numbers and types of articles.
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve overall objectives of this position.
- To Report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag at all times.
- Perform any other duties as assigned to him/her by management.
PREREQUISITES:
Physical mobility and stamina required, Ability to follow instruction, Detail-oriented, Professional attitude is required, Ability to work independently.
EDUCATION:
High School or equivalent or 1 or more year(s) prior hotel/commercial laundry expereince.
EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience in similar role preferred. Pay is based on expereince.
