Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and techniques
- Handle laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing items
- Maintain floor care by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming carpets, and performing specialized treatments like buffing or polishing floors as needed
- Ensure all surfaces are sanitized and disinfected according to health standards to promote safety and hygiene
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing residents’ or guests’ requests promptly and professionally
- Manage janitorial tasks including waste disposal, restocking supplies, and maintaining cleaning equipment in good condition
- Assist with housekeeping management tasks such as scheduling cleaning routines or supervising other team members in larger facilities
Skills
- Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning environments with janitorial or custodial expertise
- Strong knowledge of sanitation standards and proper cleaning procedures across various surfaces
- Ability to perform floor care techniques including carpet cleaning and floor polishing
- Skilled in laundry operations with attention to fabric care and stain removal
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
- Experience with hotel housekeeping operations or hospitality environments is a plus
- Familiarity with cleaning tools and equipment such as vacuums, steam cleaners, buffers, and mops
