Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care services, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and exercises as needed.
- Prepare meals and assist clients with feeding.
- Administer medication according to healthcare professionals' instructions.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided.
- Monitor and report any changes in the client’s physical or emotional health to family members or healthcare providers.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields, such as home/community care or assisted living, is preferred.
- Familiarity with memory care techniques is a plus.
- Ability to safely lift clients and assist with mobility challenges.
- Knowledge of care plans and their implementation is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and empathy when interacting with clients.
- Ability to prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
- CPR or First Aid certification is preferred but not required.
- Ability to pass background checks as mandated by state regulations.
