We are seeking a Visiting Beautician or Barber to provide professional grooming and salon services to our residents on a part-time, scheduled basis a few days each week. This role plays an important part in helping residents feel confident, dignified, and well cared for, with special consideration given to the needs of an aging population.

This role operates within a Skilled Nursing community and involves direct interaction with residents in a salon or designated service area.

Your Role as a Visiting Beautician / Barber

We are seeking a Visiting Beautician or Barber to provide professional grooming and salon services to our residents on a part-time, scheduled basis a few days each week. This role plays an important part in helping residents feel confident, dignified, and well cared for, with special consideration given to the needs of an aging population.
What You’ll Do
- Provide salon services to residents, including:
- Shampoo and blow-dry
- Hair cutting and styling
- Hair coloring
- Perms
- Basic nail care
- Deliver services in a respectful, patient, and compassionate manner
- Adapt techniques to accommodate physical, cognitive, and mobility needs of residents
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Communicate professionally with residents, families, and staff
- Follow infection control, safety, and sanitation standards
- Uphold resident dignity, privacy, and confidentiality
- Stand, sit, walk, and change positions frequently
- Use hands and arms for cutting, styling, and grooming activities
- Assist residents as needed to safely position for services
- Follow all facility safety and infection control protocols
- Maintain proper sanitation of tools and equipment
- Adhere to HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines
- Report any safety concerns to community leadership

Qualifications
- Grade school education required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Excellent skills as a Beautician or Barber, preferably working with seniors
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Current Beautician or Barber license, if required by state regulations
