Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper

Job Overview:
We are seeking a Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our team in our fast-growing senior day program in Americana Adult Day Center. As a Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen staff and ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department.

Duties:
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, serveware, and workstations

-Assist with food preparation and food service under the guidance of the kitchen supervisor.

- Help with maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas

- Support the kitchen team in organizing and storing ingredients and supplies

- Follow all food safety and hygiene standards to ensure a safe working environment

- Assist with basic cooking tasks and food service needs as directed by the kitchen supervisor.

Skills:
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.
- Knowledge of basic food handling and preparation techniques
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas, as well as the facility in general.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

- Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changes in the work place as they take place.

- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques is a plus

- Hold SafeServ Certificate and Food Handler Card
