What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lawn Care Crew Member – Mowing position at American Western Lawn & Landscape?

What you'll do:
- Mow, edge, trim, and blow lawns to a clean finish
- Load, unload, and take care of the equipment and trailer
- Keep a good pace and leave every yard looking sharp
What to expect:
Crews meet at the shop at 7:30 AM and head out together. Most days run 8–10 hours and cover 8–15 yards. It's full time, Monday-Friday, with some Saturdays in peak season (not required). The work is physical and outdoors: heat, sun, and long days on your feet.
What you need:
- Reliable transportation and on time, every day attendance
- Able to do physical outdoor work in the heat
- A positive, coachable attitude
- A smartphone (we run the daily schedule through an app)
- Valid driver's license with a clean record is a plus — it's your path to Crew Leader
Pay & growth:
Start at $15–$20/hour based on experience, paid weekly. Our Pay-for-Performance system is excellent for high achievers. The more efficient and quality you work, the more money you can make. You will have a base pay of $16/hr PLUS the opportunity to earn more each day! The average pay for first-year Team members is $20-24/hr.
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
