American West Construction is seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent with experience in wet utilities to join our growing team. This is a critical, hands-on leadership role suited for someone with a strong background in heavy civil construction and a proven track record of leading field operations from start to finish.
What You’ll Do:
Manage day-to-day operations on job sites, ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and field crews to keep the project running smoothly.
Lead and motivate construction teams, overseeing subcontractors and vendors to maintain productivity and accountability.
Proactively enforce safety standards and ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Provide clear, consistent updates to stakeholders regarding progress, challenges, and next steps.
What We’re Looking For:
High school diploma or equivalent (additional education in construction management is a strong plus).
5 years of experience in heavy civil construction.
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage diverse teams.
Proficiency with construction technology and management software.
In-depth understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
