What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tour Guides - On the American Victory WWII Ship position at American Victory Ship & Museum?
The S/S American Victory served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam and still serves today through the training of active duty and reserve military, law enforcement, fire fighters first responders, working dogs and more. As a 501c3 nonprofit organization, the American Victory Ship is open daily for tours! Our proud volunteers restore the ship, prepare new exhibits for daily tours, offer educational programs to youth of all ages, including U.S. Naval Sea Cadets, and provide critical training platforms. The S/S American Victory is one of only four operational World War II merchant vessels in the U.S., and Tampa’s only non-profit, national historical landmark dedicated to community service.
There's something for everyone here aboard our historic WWII ship, including deck hands, painters, and engineers, to tour guides, watch standers, and historians!

The S/S American Victory was launched in 1945 and served in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. Today, the American Victory Ship is open daily to the public for tours. As a 501c3 nonprofit organization, we are truly a grass roots effort and rely on our amazing volunteers!
Tour guides/docents are needed! We book groups of all ages to come aboard and explore the ship, while learning about American history, Victory ships, and various conflicts. It is an eye-opening experience and we strive to provide high quality tours of our proud ship.
If you enjoy ships, history, KIDS and education, you could join the esteemed crew of the American Victory. No experience necessary.
