Learn more about American University Department: Athletics & Recreation Operations Time Type: Part time Job Type: Temporary (Fixed Term) FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Work Modality: Union: Excluded Job Description: Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Athletics Director, this position is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the athletic department. The Part-Time Administrative Support Staff member will primarily aid Full-time athletics administrative staff during regular business hours. This position requires frequent interaction with department staff, coaches, and the Director of Athletics and Recreation to help the department function. Essential Functions: Handles special projects as assigned by the Director of Athletics and Recreation and the Deputy Director of Athletics. Assists department staff with administrative tasks. Provides administrative support for all Departmental efforts in regards to the Eagles Club and Development Office. Competencies: Serving Customers. Displaying Creativity. Prioritizing and Organizing. Championing Customer Needs. Making Accurate Judgments and Decisions. Developing Plans. Supporting Coworkers. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Part-Time. 3 - 4 hours a week. This is a temporary part-time position ending on or before 08/01/2026. Salary Range: $17.95 per hour. Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree. 1 - 3 years of relevant experience.
