Role Overview
We are seeking a Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Enterprise Business Intelligence group. This role requires a strong emphasis on advanced data analysis, source-to-target data mapping, and leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT). You will act as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical engineering teams, converting complex requirements into actionable data solutions and ensuring data accuracy across modern reporting and cloud migration platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Core Data Analysis & Requirements: Perform deep-dive data analysis using advanced SQL to evaluate source system structures, identify data patterns, and define business transformation rules. Author Functional Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Technical Specification Documents (TSDs).
- Data Mapping & Lineage: Drive end-to-end source-to-target data mapping, track data lineage, and ensure strict alignment with enterprise Data Governance and data catalog protocols.
- UAT & Testing Leadership: Design, coordinate, and execute comprehensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) strategies, test plans, and data validation scripts (including Alteryx/SQL validation) to verify pipeline output against client application and reporting tools.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate directly with cross-functional partners across Data Architecture, Cyber Security, PMO, Credit Risk, Finance, and Business Units within an Agile delivery framework.
- Analytics & Reporting Support: Build and support ad-hoc SQL scripts, Alteryx workflows, and Power BI/Tableau reporting objects. Support ongoing cloud warehouse migrations (Snowflake).
Qualifications & Technical Stack
- Primary Focus: Proven expertise in Data Analysis, Data Mapping, and UAT Coordination/Execution.
- Database & SQL: Advanced hands-on SQL proficiency (complex queries, stored procedures, schema design, data masking concepts).
- Tools & Technologies: Power BI or Tableau, Alteryx (or similar data transformation tool), Python (for data movement/workflows), and Snowflake.
- Domain & Environment: Financial Services or Banking background preferred (experience supporting Credit Risk Management or Lending systems is a plus).
- Work Style: Ability to lead independently, drive cross-departmental alignment, and operate effectively within an Agile team structure.
