Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with 1 year of experience, including OB, for a 13-week day shift contract in Key West, FL.

Details

• Ultrasound department in an acute care hospital setting
• Serves both inpatient and outpatient populations
• Procedures include abdominal, pelvic (gynecological and obstetrical), and transvaginal sonograms, small parts scanning (thyroid, breast, and scrotum), ultrasound-guided biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
• On-call required 2–3 nights per week; on-call nights may fall on any night of the week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent Ultrasound / Sonography experience
• ARDMS registration in General Sonography (RDMS) and Vascular (RVT) required
• OB experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Graduate of an accredited AMA school of ultrasound or radiologic technology
• ARRT registration or RDMS credentials required
• State license required if applicable
• No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the contract start date
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound services under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
• Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years will not be considered for this position
• Housing must be secured outside of a 50-mile radius of the facility prior to acceptance
