Description
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with a minimum of 2 years of experience across general, OB/GYN, and vascular ultrasound modalities, with required Epic EMR proficiency.
Details
- Outpatient or hospital-based ultrasound setting serving general, OB/GYN, and vascular patient populations
- Average of 15 scans per day
- Procedures include abdominal and RUQ imaging with liver vessel evaluation, kidneys and bladder, pelvic imaging (transabdominal and transvaginal), 1st trimester OB (transabdominal and transvaginal), limited 2nd/3rd trimester OB (BPP, measurements, fluid checks), testicular/scrotal evaluation, DVT/venous evaluation of upper and lower extremities, ABIs, thyroid, aorta, and carotid imaging
- Experience assisting with fine needle aspirations, paracentesis, and thoracentesis is preferred but not required
- Epic EMR experience required
- 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, with start times varying between 7:00 AM and 9:30 AM based on staffing and caseload
- On-call coverage required Monday–Friday from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM on a rotation among all day staff
- Weekend call coverage as needed from 6:30 PM to 6:00 AM
Requirements
- Minimum of 24 months of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer
- ARDMS (AB) certification required
- ARDMS (RVT) highly preferred
- ARDMS (OB/GYN) highly preferred
- Active AHA or ARC BLS certification required
- Experience in general/abdominal ultrasound required
- Experience in non-high-risk OB/GYN ultrasound required
- Experience in vascular ultrasound required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Active state license required if applicable
- Driver's license required for consideration
- One supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered provided they have a minimum of 2 years of ultrasound experience
- Travelers are required to work 1–2 of the following summer holidays if the unit is open: Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day
- Candidates previously employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for this position
