Description
American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Echo Sonographer with 3 years of experience and RDCS-PE certification for a 13-week acute care assignment at a children's hospital.
Details
- Pediatric echocardiography unit within an acute care children's hospital
- Performs fetal and pediatric echo studies, including inpatient echo on the unit
- Average of 8 scans/studies per day
- Uses Philips EPIQ7 equipment with EPIC and iSCV (PACS)
- 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, typically 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- No weekend or holiday coverage required
- No on-call or standby requirement
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of sonography experience
- Active ARDMS certification required
- RDCS-PE (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer – Pediatric Echocardiography) certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience with fetal and pediatric echocardiography required
- Proficiency with Philips EPIQ7 equipment preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Two professional references required for consideration, including at least one supervisor reference
- Driver's license with an address at least 50 miles from the facility required
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Perform pediatric and fetal echocardiographic studies, including inpatient echo studies within the children's hospital
- Department-specific orientation is provided
- Candidates who have previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before being considered
- Travelers who have worked within WVU Medicine for a cumulative period of one year must take a 2-year break before returning
- Light grey scrubs are standard for the department; travelers are not expected to purchase new scrubs and may wear what they already own (children-appropriate scrub tops are acceptable)
- First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but strong references, relevant experience, and a clean history are top priorities for this unit
