Description
American Traveler is seeking a Certified First Assistant with at least 2 years of first assist experience for a 13-week hospital OR travel assignment in Salt Lake City, UT.
Details
- Hospital-based OR assignment located in Salt Lake City, UT
- Unit specializes in cardiac first assist and endoscopic vein harvesting within a 15-OR surgical suite
- Procedures include general surgery, urology, GYN, spine, neuro, orthopedics, robotics, and vascular surgery
- Schedule is either three 12-hour or four 10-hour shifts per day, with shifts running 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
- On-call requirements of approximately 4–5 call shifts per month
- Weekend requirements to be determined
- Floating to the main OR is required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of first assist experience required
- CSFA or CFA certification required
- Active CST/ORT certification required; state license required if applicable
- Must have active experience within the last 6 months in the role being applied for
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no Canadian SSN accepted
- One professional reference required (two required for candidates licensed in Florida or Missouri)
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — no local candidates accepted
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Scrubs are provided by the hospital
- A staff of approximately 120 supports the surgical department
- Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date — AHA or ARC accepted
