Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a hospital in Manchester, NH, requiring at least 2 years of hospital experience and active ACLS and BLS certifications.
Details
- Located on a 47-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit (4 South) within a hospital setting in Manchester, NH
- Patient population includes vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, general surgery, telemetry monitoring, peripheral vascular disease, sepsis, atherosclerosis, GI bleeds, chest tubes, and arrhythmias
- Patient ratio is 1:5, with the potential to stretch to 1:6
- Unit staffing includes charge nurses (CNC), RNs, LNAs, unit clerks, and telemetry techs
- Equipment used includes Pyxis, Alaris Pumps, bladder scanners, EKGs, Atrium Chest Tubes, Dinamaps, and Vein Finders
- EMR is Meditech Expanse
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (0645–1915)
- 13-week contract
- Floating required to similar Med/Surg units and other hospital areas (PCU/ED) for overflow, with same patient types maintained
Requirements
- Active NH or Compact RN license required
- Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required for Telemetry RNs
- Minimum 2 years of recent hospital experience required
- Active telemetry experience required
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — Canadian SSNs are not accepted
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
Additional Information
- Preferred experience includes surgical bariatrics, cardiac care, vascular surgery, and wound vac/dressing changes
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
