Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Behavioral Health (Psychiatric) unit position requiring 2 years of Med-Surg/Telemetry experience and active Epic proficiency.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting, Behavioral Health unit
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Patient ratio of 1:5–6
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required between two campuses of the same health system depending on unit needs
- Epic EMR — experience required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Block scheduling is not available
Requirements
- Active NC or Compact RN license — pending licenses are not accepted
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg/Telemetry experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- 13-week contract
- Royal blue and white scrubs required
- Pre-start orientation modules must be completed prior to the first shift (estimated 4–10 hours)
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning in a travel capacity
- Night shift travelers may extend up to two times, after which a 6-month gap is required before returning
- RTO is subject to manager's discretion, with a maximum of 4 days typically approved
- Only 1 holiday approval can be accommodated per contract
