Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Operating Room position specializing in Vascular procedures, requiring a KY or compact RN license and call coverage.
Details
- Work within a Surgical Services department featuring 15 OR suites, including hybrid and cardiothoracic rooms, plus PACU, sterile supply, pharmacy, and scheduling support areas
- RN Vascular specialty focus
- 26-week contract
- Monday through Friday schedule, 0630-1500
- Call required every other day and every other weekend
- Willingness to help in other specialties as needed
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required per department compliance
- ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
- No prior experience required, though previous nursing experience preferred
- Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices
Additional Information
- Deliver direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination throughout the surgical process
- Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities alongside patient and family education
- Collaborate with an inter-professional care team and delegate tasks appropriately
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
