Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring Level 1 Trauma experience and the ability to both scrub and circulate across Ortho, Vascular, Neuro, and Trauma specialties.
Details
- Hospital Operating Room setting
- Experience required in Ortho, Vascular, Neuro, and Trauma cases
- RN must be able to both scrub and circulate
- Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- No on-call or weekend requirements
- Floating to other Cook County facilities may be required with as little as 2 hours' notice before a shift, up to 50 miles from the primary facility
Requirements
- Active IL RN license (no pending licenses accepted)
- Current BLS certification
- Level 1 Trauma OR experience required
- Proficiency in scrubbing and circulating required
- Experience in Ortho, Vascular, Neuro, and Trauma OR cases required
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Proof of COVID vaccination required (booster not required)
Additional Information
- Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are preferred and welcome to apply
- RTO is capped at 5 days per contract, with no more than 2 consecutive days off at a time
- Weekend RTO requests will not be approved
- No RTO on holidays or the day immediately before or after a holiday
- When floated outside of primary area of competency, a team-based care model is utilized
- 13-week contract
